Rear Bumpers & Steps Defender & Discovery

Rear Bumpers & Steps Defender & Discovery

I love big butts and I can not lie, so the song goes. Land Rovers have got large butts of course, but if you like the square rear of the Defender, or something a little curvier like the Discovery, we have something for you.

There’s nothing worse than being rear-ended (fwarrhaww) and our range of rear steps and bumpers are strong enough to help protect you. Although they have had no ‘official’ testing, we test in-house by towing a fully loaded, 26’ caravan to the Land Rover shows.

We have manufactured and used these bumpers and steps with complete confidence for many years with no failures, however, due to some insurance constraints on vehicles outside of the criteria we recommend that you use these items for offroad use only.

NAS Steps and Receivers

We offer a range of NAS styles, from a simple step, that makes getting into the back of a Defender a breeze. (I know, I’m 5’, so speak from personal experience) to towing options for both traditional tow-ball and receiver.

Our NAS step is just that, a step, to help gain easy assess to the back of your vehicle or the roof rack, super strong and fitting snugly against the rear cross member its sleek design will provide many years of service.

For a towing option, our NAS towing step has provision for a towball attachment, this does come with the additional hazard of the occasional bruised shin, you know the feeling, rushing to get the dog, the shopping, the kids, a bale of hay out the back of your vehicle; you misjudge the distance, and 'crack' stinging pain, hopping around, and swearing ensues this can be avoided by removing the towball when not in use, but there is a bit of a hassle that comes with that, the easier option is to use one of our

NAS Receiver Steps, a range of accessories are available for this option.

Drop plates we manufacture ourselves, NATO hitches, tow balls you can use in conjunction with the drop plates, and recovery points. Mix and match to suit the trailer you are towing, easy to equip, quick to remove, and stow away.

All of these steps are subject to a stringent process, we know there is no worse feeling than spending a lot of money on a 'quality' product only to find it rusting away in a couple of short years, our products have additional options of zinc primer or galvanising, before being finished in a high-grade architectural powder for exceptional aesthetic and outstanding durability.

Discovery Rear bumpers

There's nothing worse than having a tired rear bumper of the back of your Discovery, faded and cracked plastic or damage from a previous impact can lead to your pride and joy looking tatty and neglected. Give your vehicle some TLS and select from our Discovery rear bumpers, there are options available to make it easy to choose something to suit your lifestyle and satisfy your needs.

For a standard bolt-on replacement our standard rear bumper is available for 300TDi Discovery and TD5, Discovery 2, remove your existing plastic bumper, utilize the lights into your new Wildbear bumper, and fit, no drilling, no messing, bosh and done, one refreshed looking Discovery

If you want to give your Discovery 2 an updated and modern look we offer our standard Discovery 2 bumper as an option with LED lights, to our knowledge we are the only company to use multiway lights in the Discovery 2 rear bumpers, these bumpers are supplied with stop/tail/indicator and fog/reverse combination LED to save you the inconvenience of having to source your lights, we can imagine it is extremely annoying to purchase a bumper and then go on an eBay goose chase for suitable lighting, that's not for us, and it's not for you either.

For those of you that are a little more adventurous and don't mind performing minor 'surgery' on your vehicle, we manufacture a H/D rear bumper that is extended to the arches, for the true off road enthusiast this has additional benefits of providing ground clearance and protection on rougher terrains you may encounter on your adventures.

For the 'hardcore' off roader our rear winch bumper can provide a capability for a winch of up to 9500lb invaluable for self-recovery or recovering your mate from a tight spot; after you finish taking pictures and laughing of course.

As with all our products, these bumpers have zinc primer or galvanized options to ensure longevity, and the architectural powder coating to give the unique Wildbear finish we are renowned for.

Informative post regarding the different styles of bumpers available to suit different tastes and budgets, like the no-nonsense approach of the guys at wildbear, and the fact they are approachable and really know their stuff. The humour in the posts always brings a smile. Keep it up guys
